Troubleshooting a Doorbell That Isn't Working

If the doorbell does not alert the Lumin Screen when pressed, use the following checks to identify the cause.

Check the battery

Ensure:

  • The battery is installed correctly.

  • The battery is a GP2450 or PC2450 coin cell.

  • The battery has sufficient charge.

Replace the battery if necessary.


Check the connection

Reconnect the doorbell by:

  1. Opening Settings on the Lumin Screen.

  2. Navigating to App Settings > Smart Home Controller.

  3. Opening the device for pairing.

  4. Pressing the grey pairing button on the doorbell three times.

  5. Waiting for the Last Seen timestamp to update.


Test the doorbell

After reconnecting:

  1. Reattach the front section.

  2. Press the doorbell.

  3. Confirm the Lumin Screen displays the doorbell alert.


If the issue persists

If the doorbell still does not respond after replacing the battery and reconnecting it:

  • Confirm the correct Device Type is set to Doorbell.

  • Verify the Last Seen timestamp updates after pairing.

  • Contact Lumin Support for further assistance.
